West Coast Wine Competition Results

We have received the results of the West Coast Wine Competition. We entered 19 wines and received 15 medals, 9 golds and 6 silvers. We also won two Best of Class designations the first for the 2020 Dolcetto which is scheduled for release July 1. The second wine to earn a best of class award is the 2019 Reserve Barbera which is almost gone. As of this morning we have less than twenty cases of this wine remaining. A summary of the wines and their awards is listed below.

I think it is interesting to note that two of the wine club selections for March won gold medals.

Alicante Bouschet is a wine club selection and the Grenache is the SMEII selection. Too many times wine clubs are used as an outlet for wines that are not selling well. Not at Jeff Runquist Wines. Wine Club members are our number one customers. They have committed to purchasing wines on a regular basis and when we have a special wine or an award winning wine we make sure our wine club members are first in line for that wine.
