Jeff’s Spring Release Letter

It seems like it was just yesterday I was celebrating the first daffodil blossom. That was January sixth, almost two months ago. For the past two weeks I have been pinching off spend blooms. The warm sunshine is hastening the whole process. That bright orb tracking through a cobalt blue sky is also reminding me that it won’t be too long before we are watching the weather and curtailing shipping to some of the country’s warmest regions. That means it is time for a spring ‘load up the cellar for summer’ shipping special. When you muscle up and purchase any assortment of six bottles or more, we will get it to you for a paltry piece of fabric with George Washington’s face on it.

The deal is all inclusive, any wine on the web site is fair game. However, we would like to recommend that you consider the white wines and ‘chillable’ reds, Grenache and Pinot Noir.

We have moved onto the 2023 vintage for the Rosé of Sangiovese and Muscat Canelli. The Rosé is bright and crisp, a deliciously refreshing way to welcome the harbingers of summer. The Muscat is its usual floral self; full of sweet-zesty green apples. Dessert in a bottle. We are okay with giving you a head start on the 2023 Verdelho. It is scheduled to for released May first, but we would be happy to allow you a sneak preview. For those of you that relish the memories of last summer and would like to relive some of the enjoyment that the 2022 vintage delivered we still have a wee bit of the 2022 Chardonnay from the Sisters Vineyard as well a few bottles of the ‘22 Chenin Blanc and ‘22 Viognier left.

Cheers!

– Jeff
